Arrival & Maafushi Welcome
Arrival DayArrive at Velana International Airport, Malé. Complete immigration formalities (30-day visa on arrival for Indian passport holders). Our representative will meet you outside arrivals with a signboard.
Board your shared speedboat from Malé to Maafushi Island (30-40 minutes). Enjoy scenic views of the turquoise lagoon and nearby resort islands. Arrive at Maafushi Jetty and transfer to Kaani Beach Hotel.
Check-in and settle into your beachfront room. Take a sunset stroll along Bikini Beach. Welcome dinner at the hotel's rooftop restaurant with panoramic ocean views. Briefing about tomorrow's excursions.
Full-Day Snorkeling Safari
Adventure DayEarly breakfast at 8:00 AM. Depart from Maafushi jetty at 9:00 AM on a traditional dhoni for your full-day snorkeling safari. First stop: Turtle Reef (30 mins) — swim alongside green sea turtles and hawksbill turtles in crystal clear water.
Second stop: Shark Bay (20 mins) — encounter baby blacktip reef sharks in shallow water (completely safe). Third stop: Coral Garden (40 mins) — vibrant soft corals, clownfish, angelfish, and parrotfish. Lunch served on a sandbank (picnic style).
Final stop: Shipwreck Point (30 mins) — snorkel around a sunken fishing boat now teeming with marine life. Return to Maafushi by 4:00 PM. Rest and freshen up.

Local Island Tour & Sunset Fishing
Culture DayLeisurely breakfast. Join the 2-hour guided local island tour at 10:00 AM. Visit Maafushi's central mosque, the bustling fish market (watch tuna being unloaded), and local souvenir shops selling handmade Maldivian crafts, shell jewelry, and coral-free souvenirs.
Free time on Bikini Beach. Rent a kayak or paddleboard (affordable rates at beach shacks). Or simply relax on the sun loungers with a fresh coconut (₹200). Lunch at a local cafe — try 'Mas Huni' (shredded smoked tuna with coconut) and 'Roshi' (flatbread).
Depart at 5:00 PM for the Sunset Fishing Trip aboard a traditional dhoni. Learn traditional Maldivian handline fishing techniques. Catch reef fish, snapper, and grouper. The crew will cook your catch for dinner (grilled fish with rice and salad).

Important Notes
Maafushi is a local island with Muslim population. Swimwear is ONLY allowed on Bikini Beach. In village areas, please wear clothing that covers shoulders and knees. Resort wear is not permitted outside Bikini Beach.
Alcohol is not sold on local islands including Maafushi. If you wish to consume alcohol, you must book a day pass to a nearby resort island (Fulidhoo or Dhigurah) — available as optional add-on (₹4,000-6,000).
May to November (wet season) offers the lowest prices (30-40% cheaper) with fewer crowds. December to April (dry season) has perfect weather but higher rates. Budget package rates vary by season.
Carry USD cash for excursions — local shops accept USD but give change in Rufiyaa. Eat at local cafes (₹400-600 per meal) instead of hotel restaurants (₹1,200+). Rent a bicycle (₹400/day) to explore the island.
